about the exercise dress
Outdoor Voices - Dahlia, XS
I've worn the exercise dress to run once. Personally, the thin leotard lining in combination with the lower cut neck line doesn't provide enough support for any vigorous cardio. I can't imagine providing a lot of support for anyone who has any more curves than I do.
The dress shows off every curve, lump and crevice - a deal breaker for some or a win for others. I personally love the "clingy" drape of the dress; it's sexy without showing skin. However, this clinginess is a double-edged sword. Even the contours of seamless undergarments are shown through the two layers of fabric. However, I feel like this problem won't be as prominent with the darker colors.
Although I won't be wearing this dress for anything athletic related anytime soon, it's the perfect casual, weekend brunch dress when you want to take a break from the standard leggings-and-sweatshirt fare. It's chic, comfortable, and incredibly flattering.
